This hot chocolate recipe is truly amazing. But my hot chocolate is the creamiest hot chocolate that you will ever taste. I use 2 to 3 cups of Lactose free whole milk, and I get it hot on the stove, then I put in 8 to 10 mini Three Musketeers bars. There is a package of mini Three Musketeers bars and I think there is 8 in there so that is what I used. And then I use my whisk to stir it and pretty soon they are all melted, then pour up into coffee cups. It should make 3 to 4 cups. If you have a large family, I would suggest double the recipe. Boy, it is so good, so creamy. I will never go back to the powdered kind.

Just made my first batch of homemade hot cocoa mix using this recipe, and my 7-year-old loves it. It's delicious and easy to make, without chemicals or artificial sweeteners. I'm so glad I found this recipe!

We use this recipe all the time. Be careful to use hot, but not boiling water or the milk clumps up. This is excellent with a little vanilla, crushed candy cane, a little cinnamon,or instant coffee!

I've tried 2 other home made hot cocoa recipes, but this one is definitely the BEST. Two big, puffy marshmallows on top make it perfect. To whoever submitted this recipe: Thank you.J.J. SmithMissouri

In looking for a good Hot Cocoa mix I tried four different recipes and this one won out unanimously even over some very popular recipes. I do, though, add a little more cocoa powder to balance out the sweet milkiness. I also ran the mix through the blender a bit to pulverize the dry milk and help it to dissolve better. Don't run it through to much though or it with be not as milky! Oh, and if you do blend it then make sure to measure the mix by spooning it into a measuring cup like flour or the measurement will be off. All in all this is a great recipe for Hot Chocolate and sure beats the packaged stuff which won't taste nearly as good after trying this!

I made this originally as part of Christmas gift baskets. Saved the excess for home use. My 11-yr old likes it better than the Swiss Miss she's been drinking her whole life. I have to make more now!!

I remember my mother making this recipe for my teachers as christmas gifts (25 years ago). It was always a BIG hit. It's inexpensive and tastes really good. We would also include a small baggie full of mini marshmallows and a handwritten recipe for the hot chocolate tied around the neck of the mason jar
